SAN FRANCISCO – September 10, 2008 – Following closely on the heels of its widely praised iPhone application, Truveo, the leading video search engine, today announced that it has launched a public beta of its new mobile video search site. Truveo Mobile Video Search makes it easy for users to find and view videos from across the Web on popular mobile phones.
Starting today, consumers can access the Truveo Mobile Video Search beta site from RTSP-supported (Real Time Streaming Protocol) mobile phones by going to http://wap.aol.com/truveo. Users can browse the most popular and top-ranked videos from the Web or search for videos by keyword. Search results can be easily sorted by popularity, ranking, or date to quickly find compelling content.
“One of our missions is to provide consumers with easy access to our products no matter where they are or what device they are using,” said Kevin Conroy, Executive Vice President of AOL. “Truveo Mobile Video Search continues that effort by giving mobile users access to the industry’s leading video search engine and enabling them to enjoy videos anytime, anywhere.”
