As a Vice President and Creative Director at AOL, Sammi Leibovitz oversees MAKERS, an AOL owned and operated brand that is the largest collection of women's stories ever assembled. Since launching MAKERS in 2012, MAKERS.com has been named by Forbes as one of the "best websites for women," the brand went global in 2014 with the launch of MAKERS China, then MAKERS Canada, and most recently MAKERS UK, hosted two highly regarded conferences, and celebrated its first Emmy nomination in 2016.
Leibovitz has served in a variety of leadership positions since joining AOL in 2010. Prior to running MAKERS, Leibovitz served as Chief of Staff across the AOL.com and AOL Lifestyle Brands after successfully launching and running several brands in the AOL portfolio.
Leibovitz, originally from the Washington, DC area, graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Pubic Communication at SyracuseUniversity and currently lives in New York City.
