This Is AOL / Our Impact / AOL Charitable Foundation

Our mission is to improve the lives of women, girls and underserved youth worldwide.

AOL Charitable Foundation is a private 501c3 foundation funded solely by AOL Inc. The Foundation improves the lives of women, girls and underserved youth, expanding opportunities for future leaders around the world by increasing access through education and technology, fostering leadership and cultivating creativity and innovation. This includes a commitment to strengthen their abilities to address the world’s biggest challenges today, tomorrow and beyond.

Partnering to Amplify Impact

Our work would not be possible without meaningful partnerships. The Foundation partners with game-changing organizations like Girls Who Code, The UN Foundation and the NYC Foundation for Computer Science and strengthens the impact of grants with AOL's leadership, technology and talent across the globe.

Making the Right Investments, in Women and Future Leaders

No company rallies around women the way AOL does. We do this with brands like MAKERS#BUILTBYGIRLS and BBG Ventures and leadership teams comprised of top female talent. By creating and promoting content that can engage and inspire millions of future innovators and executives, we build on our commitment to invest in young women who have demonstrated their interest in tech.

The Foundation aims to cultivate a diverse pipeline of students who possess critical skills like empathy, confidence and a global mindset. It’s all part of empowering tomorrow’s leaders with the resources and support they need to thrive in the 21st century.

The AOL Charitable Foundation Board sets the Foundation’s strategy and guides investments in programs and partnerships that further our mission. Made of leaders from across AOL, our Board includes:

  • Sarah Crennan
