Maneesh Dhir

Executive Vice President, International

As Executive Vice President, International, Maneesh Dhir is responsible for AOL International and its operations in Asia, Europe and the Americas. His duties include overseeing the growth of portals in these areas as well as reviewing new business opportunities arising in the international arena.

Before moving to Bangalore to set up AOL in India in 2000, Dhir was Vice President and General Manager in the West Coast operations of AOL. His tenure with AOL began when Kiva Software, a software development company in the Valley, was acquired by Netscape.

Before he was named to his current position in 2007, Dhir was Senior Vice President and Country Manager, based in Bangalore, India. In this role, he led a large workforce across technology development, back-office operations, and call center operations. Earlier, Dhir played a key role in establishing and launching AOL's operations in Bangalore. He has also been instrumental in launching the AOL India Portal as well as portals in Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

His background in technology goes back further to his days at Sun Microsystems, where he started the company’s server appliance business and worked in various technology and business related roles for 7 years. Dhir holds a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, an MS in Computer Science from UCLA and an MBA from Stanford University.
