AOL PRESENTS NEXT DOOR HERO,
NEW ORIGINAL WEB SERIES DEBUTING THIS SUMMER

Announced at AOL's NewFront Event in New York City
New York, NY (April 24th, 2012) – AOL announced today the launch of Next Door Hero, a new unscripted video series that features everyday Americans with extraordinary stories. The series will feature heroes such as a firefighter who rescued children from a collapsing house, a teen who saved a bus full of school children, and a boy who has raised half-a-million dollars for the homeless by sleeping in a cardboard box each winter. AOL gave more than 450 brand advertisers, marketers, agencies, digital and TV media buyers a sneak peek of the new series at its Digital Content NewFront today in New York City.

Next Door Hero will put an action-filled spotlight on America's bravest everyday heroes by telling their incredible stories to AOL's audience. From service members and first responders to moms and the neighbor next door, anyone can be a hero. AOL will celebrate these people by surfacing their heart-warming stories of heroism. The series is produced by AOL Studios and is part of the company's commitment to producing high-quality, engaging video series around the most dramatic, passionate and interesting Americans. It will premiere this summer on AOL.com, AOL On and The Huffington Post.
