New York, NY – October 28, 2008 - AOL and General Motors (GM) have launched a new website, Small Business Autos, http://smallbusiness.aol.com/business-auto-center, that provides tips and background to help small businesses with their auto needs. The site is part of AOL Money & Finance, http://money.aol.com, one of the top business sites online with more than 14.1 million unique visitors each month, according to the September 2008 comScore Media Metrix report.
Small Business Autos offers information on auto loans and insurance, fuel management and MapQuest’s Gas Prices tool, http://gasprices.mapquest.com, which finds the lowest gas prices in a geographical area. The site also includes a question and answer community feature – powered by Yedda – as well as tips for businesses about mobile offices.
“We are excited to work with GM to offer the millions of small business owners a place to find valuable information for their auto needs during these uncertain times,” said Marty Moe, Senior Vice President, AOL Money & Finance, News, Sports, Weblogs and KOL. “We built the site in conjunction with GM to offer customized content that provides exactly what small businesses need.”
“There are websites that cater to small businesses and there are websites that cater to automotive. Now GM and AOL have pioneered a new, industry-first website that caters to both. The Small Business Autos website offers the opportunity to reach small businesses that have automotive interests and/or needs,” says Betsy Perkins, GM Fleet and Commercial Operations’ Marketing and Advertising Manager. “We are thrilled to partner with AOL and, through our sponsorship, highlight the many benefits provided by Chevrolet and GMC Business Central dealerships. The Business Central network, which spans from coast to coast, offers professionally trained staff aimed at helping businesses find and maintain the right vehicles to meet their specific business needs, no matter what those needs are.”
Small Business Autos was sold by AOL’s digital advertising business Platform-A, http://platform-a.com, and features video and banner ads.
