BermanBraun And AOL Partner To Reinvent Moviefone

NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, Oct. 24, 2013 – AOL and BermanBraun today announced they are partnering to reimagine Moviefone and give the iconic entertainment brand a new design and enhanced user experience.

Starting in early 2014, fans of Moviefone will see a fresh look and a more robust offering of entertainment news and content as well as a state of the art utility for consumers to find and watch premium content on all devices.

Founded in 1989 and acquired by AOL in 1999, Moviefone defined its category and has expanded over the years from exclusively providing movie times and ticket information into a trusted voice for Hollywood news and features.

AOL and BermanBraun have previously teamed up to launch and run successful brands such as MANDATORY, PAWNATION and SKYE – which lead their categories in key engagement metrics[1]. PAWNATION recently reached the top spot in the Pets category in comScore rankings[2].

The AOL-BermanBraun relationship is underpinned by the previously successful collaboration between AOL's Susan Lyne and BermanBraun's Lloyd Braun, who during their time together at ABC oversaw the development of some of the most popular shows on television, including LOST, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and GREY'S ANATOMY. Adding to that strength is Gail Berman's success in launching iconic television shows and award-winning visual brands.
