In addition, AOL and Spinner plan to present a series of pop-up concerts around Austin that include Broken Bells, Rogue Wave, VV Brown and Rival Schools. Two songs from each of those shows will be available for free streaming on Spinner beginning March 19.
"Soul probably isn't the first thing the average SXSW festivalgoer thinks of while plotting a schedule, but there's a vital scene in Austin," said Melissa Olund, managing editor of AOL Music. "This showcase is very much past meets present for the city."
In anticipation of taking the stage alongside Robinson, Raphael Saadiq said "it's a great thing to travel the world and see how many other people are inspired by some of the same people I'm inspired by. It's a worldwide beat in everybody's heart."
Fans unable to attend the show will be able to view select performances on Spinner.com, along with selections from the pop-up series.
