As Head of Corporate Development, Strategy and Strategic Partnerships, Mark leads all aspects of AOL’s strategic initiatives globally. He is also an Investment Committee member of AOL’s BBG, Nautilus and Dawn Patrol Venture investment funds. Mark brings 20+ years’ of strategic transaction and operational management experience in digital media, marketing services, technology and the software industries to AOL’s executive leadership team.
Prior to AOL, Mark was a member of the executive team and led Corporate and Business Development at Linkable Networks, a Bain Ventures backed start-up focused on credit-card linked promotional advertising and loyalty. Mark joined Linkable Networks after 12 years as an investment banker focused on the digital media and technology industries at both Morgan Stanley and Portico Capital. At Portico, Mark led the digital media and technology practice, providing advisory services for mergers and acquisitions and private capital financings. Prior to investment banking, Mark held positions in research and development, manufacturing, systems engineering, finance and corporate develop at Xerox and LTX Corporation, a semi-conductor test equipment manufacturer.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester, and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Business. He currently resides in Westport, CT with his wife and two children.
