Historically high gasoline prices are taking their toll on summer vacation plans, the new MapQuest Summer Survey of more than 1,000 people finds. According to the survey, as many as 72% of those planning to take a road trip this year said that gas prices were affecting their summer travel plans. Nearly one in 10 said they plan to cancel trips altogether to avoid the pain at the pump. But despite the prices, nearly half of Americans (49%) plan to take a road trip this summer nevertheless, according to the report.

AOL and Clearwire Corporation today announced an agreement to offer consumers in select markets "AOL(R) High Speed - Powered by Clearwire." Consumers will now be able to access the AOL service with easy-to-use, high-speed wireless broadband access for as low as $25.90 per month.
AOL High Speed - Powered by Clearwire is initially available in Daytona Beach and Jacksonville, Fla., as well as Stockton and Modesto, Calif.

AP-AOL-Pew Research Center Survey Reveals More Than Half of All Adults Keep Their Mobile Phone On 24/7; Nearly Half of Those Aged 18-29 Are Likely to Drop Their Landline
According to a new AP-AOL-Pew Research Center Mobile Lifestyle Survey, U.S. cell phone users are growing increasingly addicted to using their cell phones. The survey, which examined cell phone trends and usage habits among 1,286 mobile users nationwide, revealed that 52 percent of adults surveyed keep their cell phone turned on all the time while 40 percent of those aged 18-29 are likely to drop their landline once and for all.
