ICQ LAUNCHES GLOBAL ICQ PHONE VOICE CALLING SERVICE

Effective today, ICQ® 5.1 users in countries outside of the United States and Hong Kong can sign up for the ICQ Phone service and begin making PC-to-Phone Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls via a new dialer interface within the ICQ® client at http://www.icq.com/icqphone. The new service offers one-click dialing, call logging, a phone book as well as account balance display.

Adds Location-Based Services, PC-to-PC Calling, AIM Bot and Mac OS X Support to the AIM Software Developer Kit

As part of its commitment to providing developers with open access to its popular services, AOL today extended its Open AIM initiative (http://developer.aim.com) to include support for AIM Bots, location-based services and PC-to-PC voice calling. The update also includes support for developers working on the Mac OS X, Linux, and Pocket PC platforms or with the Java language.
