Asylum Launches in Japan

AOL has extended its presence in Japan with the launch of a Japanese version of men's lifestyle site Asylum. The site joins Joystiq, Autoblog and Luxist as the fourth blog launched in recent months for that market. AOL also operates the popular technology blog Engadget Japan.

AOL and eAccess Launch AOL.jp in Japan

AOL has launched a co-branded Web portal in Japan with eAccess. Available to all Japanese consumers, the new site offers an upgraded free Web Mail service, a new version of AIM, as well as localized content in news, entertainment, technology, sports, and more, including Engadget, Autoblog and Luxist.

AOL’s Platform-A reaches more than 160 million Internet users in Europe

London, 17 December 2008 – Platform-A, AOL’s digital advertising business, now reaches more than 160 million unique users in Europe.* After the recent launches in Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, Platform-A now has a presence in eight European countries including France, Germany and the UK. Platform-A has more than 18 million unique visitors to its network of sites in Scandinavia and the Netherlands.**
In Europe, Platform-A appears in the top three of comScore’s advertising network ranking for October 2008. Platform-A is ranked No. 1 in Finland, France, Norway and the UK; No. 2 in Denmark and Germany; No. 3 in the Netherlands and Sweden.**
