AOL Partners with StackSocial to Launch TUAW Storefront
Powered by StackSocial's commerce platform, TUAW will offer exclusive sales on trending apps, Mac software, games and Apple accessories

New York, NY – July 31, 2013 AOL today announced a partnership with StackSocial, an online marketplace for creative technology products, to launch a digital storefront on TUAW, an AOL property devoted to tips, reviews, news, analysis and opinion on everything Apple.

Starting today, TUAW readers will be able to purchase new and noteworthy Mac games, gadgets, tutorials and apps – such as Adobe Creative Suite tutorials, an ultra-slim bluetooth keyboard, and exclusive Mac bundles directly on TUAW. TUAW Deals is powered by StackSocial's commerce platform, which organically highlights relevant products into readers' daily experience and provides the ability to purchase them directly on the site.

"Our readers are always on the lookout for the latest and greatest Apple-related products and apps, and this partnership allows us to personally curate and offer great deals directly to our audience," said Barb Dybwad, director of business development at AOL Tech. "It's a win-win situation: we get access to relevant content, and our readers are able to discover new products and get exclusive offers."

Josh Payne, founder and CEO of StackSocial added, "The real challenge with marrying content and commerce is ensuring a high degree of relevancy to the reader's interests. We hired a team of dedicated buyers that solely research and hand-pick the latest and greatest creative technology products on the market to solve that problem. When done right, offering commerce not only generates an incremental revenue stream for the publisher, it also helps them to engage readers on a new level which brings users back to the site more often."

With TUAW's almost a million unique visitors a month (per comScore Worldwide June 2013), the partnership brings StackSocial's total publisher network reach to nearly 30 million unique visitors per month. To celebrate the partnership, TUAW members will be offered a 10 percent discount for the first seven days of the TUAW Deals launch.
