Cambio Announces the Formation of Cambio Group and Its First Partner -- Wetpaint

The newly formed Cambio Group will continue to grow in scale and reach through partnerships with a select group of elite content providers

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambio, a leading online entertainment platform for teens and young adults, announced today the formation of Cambio Group. This new division creates the framework for Cambio to achieve greater reach, strategically share content, and create integrated cross promotions with a select group of best-in-class content providers. Its first partner, Wetpaint, is a next-generation media company that offers a premier social entertainment experience to its users. Effective January 1, 2012, Cambio Group will be the exclusive seller of Wetpaint Entertainment US ad inventory.

Cambio and Wetpaint offer groundbreaking, original programming and social network experiences, which connect teens and young adults with their favorite stars and entertainment.

"The two companies are constantly evolving, using unique and innovative platforms to create the highest quality digital entertainment," says President of MGX LAB and co-founder of Cambio Keith Wortman.

"It's exciting to partner with a like-minded platinum property like Wetpaint Entertainment," says Cambio General Manager Nathan Coyle. "We are focused on building greater scale across premium teen and young adult audiences, and doing so in a way that delivers A++ quality content."

Wetpaint Entertainment delights 18-34 year-old women with in-depth coverage of their favorite TV shows, stars and fashion. Wetpaint's proprietary real-time technologies not only predict which topics will be most interesting to its audience, but also optimize the packaging and distribution of every item of content to reach fans on Facebook, Twitter, and mobile devices. Wetpaint Entertainment attracts more than six million unique visitors and 25 million page views monthly, and has over a million Facebook fans on its 25+ channels.

"Wetpaint Entertainment has been experiencing strong momentum since its launch 15 months ago," said Rob Grady, COO of Wetpaint. "We carefully considered several advertising partners and decided Cambio Group – and its partner AOL – was the best qualified to sell our premium advertising."

The formation of Cambio Group and the Wetpaint partnership follow the successful fall launch of Cambio 2.0, which included the announcement of deals with some of today's leading entertainment industry creators, including Mark Burnett, Warner Brothers Digital Distribution, McG, Christine Vachon, and Jennifer Lopez to name a few.
