Largest Annual IT and Electronics Show in Japan

New York – Septmeber 27, 2011 – Engadget, the web magazine with obsessive, daily coverage of everything new in gadgets and consumer electronics, today announced it has been named official news source for CEATEC 2011, Japan's largest annual IT and electronics exhibition and conference. Engadget will stream news on the CEATEC website in both Japanese and English for the estimated 200,000 conference attendees, and Engadget reporters will have special access to CEATEC's thousands of exhibitors, getting first looks at products and concepts in mobile, home entertainment, computing, software, and more. CEATEC 2011 will be held from October 4th - 8th at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan. Joshua Fruhlinger, Editorial Director for AOL Tech, made the announcement.

"CEATEC is one of the few premiere events for the global technology community and Engadget is honored to be singled out as official news source," said Fruhlinger. "It's a tribute to the integrity and fanaticism of our writers and editors, and we can't wait to bring that spirit to our coverage of CEATEC 2011."

"Engadget is the Official News Source for CEATEC JAPAN 2011,"said Takashi Nakashini, CEATEC JAPAN Producer. "We are confident that Engadget's experience of working with international conferences will help to provide the CEATEC JAPAN exhibition with dynamism in news distribution."

Fruhlinger will be joined by a panel of U.S. electronics and IT journalists to judge products, technologies and services for their innovation and potential impact in the American market.
