NEW YORK, NY – April 19, 2011 – The AOL Huffington Post Media Group today announces that David Kiley has been named Editor-in-Chief of AOL Autos, a comprehensive source of auto industry news, new and used car buying information, car culture, consumer tips, trends, maintenance and repair. Arianna Huffington, President and Editor-in-Chief of The AOL Huffington Post Media Group, made the announcement.

"David Kiley is an award-winning journalist who has passionately covered autos and the auto industry for more than two decades, and is the ideal person to be leading the AOL Autos team," said Arianna Huffington. "With his breadth of knowledge and experience -- and his sheer love of cars -- David will put the spotlight on the important news and tips that make the site a trusted interactive source of updates, video and advice, especially for new car buyers."

AOL Autos is one of the industry's leading automotive websites whose primary focus is helping auto consumers make smart decisions, from purchasing a vehicle through maintaining it. The site features AOL Autos' Best Deal, a unique tool for car buyers seeking the best price with a network of over 4,000 certified dealers. The site's Translogic video series is popular among the auto obsessed as well as the casual car owner.

Said David Kiley: "With The AOL Huffington Post Media Group's powerful and engaging platform, AOL Autos is well positioned to reach the widest possible audience -- whether it's first-time auto buyers or owners seeking do-it-yourself tips. I envision the site as a unique, one-stop-shop for all things cars, and I'm looking forward to adding more news, more useful service information and more video."

Kiley is a veteran journalist with over 20 years of experience covering business and the arts. He previously served as Detroit bureau chief for USA Today and was a senior Detroit-based correspondent for BusinessWeek.

Kiley is former president of the International Automotive Press Association and has written for a variety of publications, from Advertising Age to Popular Mechanics.

He has received several journalism awards and is the author of two books: Getting The Bugs Out: The Rise, Fall, and Comeback of Volkswagen in America and Driven: Inside BMW, The Most Admired car Company in the World, both published by John Wiley & Sons.
